Very sad indeed to receive the news of the demise of our beloved former Principal Secretary Agriculture Department, V.S. Oberoi with whom we have worked very closely under his dynamic leadership.
He had contributed immensely to the State of Meghalaya as a whole and the Agriculture Department in particular. He was not only wise but bold in taking official decisions for the good of the developmental programmes and the subordinate officers.
He understood human feelings as well. Indeed a kind soul with fatherly figure. My sincere condolences to Ma’a,m. children and relatives.
