Mooli’s sudden passing after an almost successful operation is an irreparable loss to you and to so many of his friends, admirers and colleagues.
Right from early days at school in 1968, Mooli was always gentle and soft spoken. He was the first to be awarded both the Sports and the Scholar’s Blazer – a real achievement in those days, much admired and envied. Mooli would often call from the places that he travelled for sharing a friendly thought and made me feel like an elder brother. He would share beautiful photos with one liners: aptly said from a trek in Arunachal – “Herders Yes, but where are the Yaks”. An old almost forgotten remark on my moustache in school weekly was typical Mooli’s humour. A charming person with a disarming smile, Mooli is almost impossible to be forgotten. Now nearing 50th year of our reunion from school his presence will be ever missed, but we will all get strength by the invisible strength of our ‘YAK’ from above. Stay always strong and carry forward Mooli’s Mission! Zeeks & Anna
