It is still difficult to believe that Moolie, a dear friend and Assam batchmate over the last four decades is no longer with us. I vividly recall those early days in service when we first arrived in Assam. The state was quite disturbed. Moolie’s keen perceptions of people and situations, his ability to lighten the atmosphere with a joke or a pun were of great help. Over the years, we followed different career trajectories, yet were close . His ability to impart a human touch not only won hearts but helped him accomplish a lot. Through out, Moolie and Nanz and both the girls were like our family and their home was always open and warm. Later his passion for photography and the North East, Arunachal in particular flowered through beautiful images of the place and people. Both Rashi and I miss you Moolie. Rest in peace.
