Shocked. Can’t believe Mooli has gone without even saying a witty goodbye. Just left after posting a few photos from his enviable collection… his way of maintaining daily communication .Now there will be a palpable void. I feel deprived of a true friend, a loveable and delightful, caring human being .. always smiling, joking, extremely helpful, compassionate… no words are enough to describe Mooli and what we as friends, Nandini as his abiding love (just could not do anything without consulting her), accomplished Naintara and gentle Naira have lost.
I vividly recall my close association with him since 12 years ago in a lonely and tense Northeast. Mooli was there ever ready and willing to extend himself to help me settle down and connect me to a bunch of the most interesting people hailing from all walks of life.. such was his popularity and varied interests. We travelled extensively to the remote interiors. There was never a dull moment with Mooli incessantly regaling us with his one liners, endless repertoire of jokes, anecdotes and hilarious stories. He was a walking and talking encyclopaedia.,. A virtual know all. But humbly sharing his vast knowledge. Loved by a doting family, a darling for his friends, respected and loved by his colleagues, endearing to all, a great human being! Mooli, we will never forget you and all you have done for those whose lives you touched in so many giving ways. No words can describe Mooli in entirety., He will always remain forever etched in my memory as a true friend. My only complaint .. Mooli, you went away too early! —Krishan
