I was lucky to meet Mr Oberoi for 3 hours only in my whole life. It was merely a chance meeting as me and my wife were returning from Majuli in police boat in 2018. SP Majuli told me that Mr Subhas Das IAS and one more officer are also returning to Jorhat. So we four were in one boat for 3 hours. I can say that Mr Oberoi was humble to the core, full of knowledge in every field, committed to produce results for general welfare and ever ready to help. A man par excellence. God wants good persons and that is why he was selected by Him to do some divine work elsewhere. We pray for his soul to rest in peace.
