I was in the Anesthesia team who undertook Vinay Sheel Oberoi’s Transplant surgery. Fondly remember him as an always smiling face, always grateful. For even the needle pricks that I gave him to withdraw samples ( as his were tough to get post surgery ) he said ‘Thank you Doctor’. Even when he was in immense pain he observed things keenly, asked me once pertinent questions on the low ratio of paramedics in our Hospitals. I remember suggesting him to write a book when he gets well. Vinay ji is one patient who will be thoroughly embedded in my memory forever.
