Oberoi sir is the second person I met (other than Debroy sir) who spoke fondly for Manas. He also fought fiercely for her and helped regain her original glory at the global UNESCO World Heritage Committee platform. His amazing sense of humour (and that too with a straight face!), his love for heritage, travel and photography in northeast India will be cherished by those who knew him.
